We will hold another training program in the Summer of 2012 so stay tuned!
Join the team for one of the fastest growing and coolest sports in the U.S.-triathlons! Regardless of skill level or experience, the only requirement is that you must be motivated. We'll work on skills specific to swimming, biking, running and endurance. You'll train year-round with a team of other kids that will become your friends and partners in achieving the same goals of improving fitness and competing in triathlons at the best level possible. Team directors and coaches will promote strong team sportsmanship and unity while preparing you and your teammates for a lifelong journey in the sport of triathlon. Visit www.kidstriclub.com for more information!
Coach Doug Butler will individually assess each runner and based on individual goals, set each runner up with a customized training program. He will base your training regimen on your particular level of fitness and advise you how to move forward to achieve your goals while staying injury free.
Very few people train at the paces they should be running at in order to increase their fitness level. This camp will teach you what paces you should be training at. Nobody likes to train alone, and this gives you a chance to meet some great people to run with. This camp is geared for adults, students are welcome to join if they are not a member of a high school track & field team.
This is a training program geared for the beginner to the elite runner. Runners meet two nights a week and on Sunday mornings for training runs.
The first night of camp will be on January 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Running Zone, workouts will be on Tuesday and Thursdays. Sunday long runs will be at 7:00 a.m, starting at Wickham Park.
You may check www.setgoalsnotlimits.com for workout information, especially if you will be missing a night/morning of training.
Train with USAT Certified Coaches Suzanne Coullias and Becky Moody for the 2011 Summer and Fall Triathlon events. Sessions will take place in the Spring of 2012 to prepare participants for the Pineappleman Triathlon. The summer 10 or 12 week session will teach you the fundamentals of triathlon competition and prepare you for Sprint, Olympic and Half-Ironman events- specifically the Battle of the Bridges Triathlon and the Atlantic Coast Olympic or Half-Ironman Triathlon.
