This year’s Insurance Office of America Corporate 5K
registered 10,631 walkers and runners on more than
440 teams on April 24, confirming that Florida’s companies
are realizing the value of encouraging health and
fitness among their employees.
Teams consisted of three to five members and the
times of each member were added together to obtain
the total team time and place within several categories.
Local teams who participated included Kennedy Space
Center – Men, 2:07:42 and Kennedy Space Center—
Women, 1:34:15 in the Govt. Employee/State/Fed. division;
United Launch Alliance—Mixed, 1:44:43 in the Engineering/
Architect/Building category and United Space
Alliance-Men, 1st Transportation, 1:57:01 and another
men’s team in 2:23:14; United Space Alliance—Mixed,
1st Transportation, 1:30:28; United Space Alliance-Women, 1st, 1:30:28 and 2nd, 1:40:10.
